Mini sessions may be reserved with a $75 retainer (refundable in case of rain cancellation for outdoor sessions).
Mini portrait sessions include:
- One twenty five minute portrait session at specified location in the Bay Area. (Sign up dates and times can be found in the “mini photo session dates and time slots” section. Please note that mini sessions can only be scheduled for the dates and times listed. If you would like to schedule a time that is more convenient for your family, please see the full portrait session details.)
- An online gallery for easy viewing and ordering.
- $25 print/ product credit

To use a credit card, please click here and go to the shop. You’ll find the option to pay for the deposit in the services section under portraits.
If it rains and we have to cancel, the payment will be returned or, if you prefer, applied to the rescheduled mini photo session day.
Please note that payment is necessary to hold your time slot and must arrive within three days of signing up. All time slots without payments will be cleared to make room for other families.
Frequently Asked Mini Photo Session Questions-
*How long are the mini photo sessions?
Mini portrait sessions are 25 minutes each. Please note that because mini portrait sessions are scheduled close together, it’s important that you arrive on time to take advantage of the full 25 minutes.
*When and where can we see the photos?
Photos from the mini sessions will be posted on my online proofing page (password protected) within two weeks of the photo session and will stay online for two weeks. Online proofing allows you to view the photos and easily order your favorites. You’ll also have the option to e-mail photos to friends and family and allow them to look at the photo gallery. Once your gallery expires, there is a $40 reposting fee, so please get your orders in before your gallery expires.
*Can I purchase the digital negatives to print the images myself?
Absolutely. There are several options for purchasing digital negatives. Here are the collections:
The Complete Package, Mini: $475(for mini portrait sessions)
* All of your finished images on CD; print however many copies in whatever sizes you want
* 20 5x7s of your favorite images to see how they’ll look printed
*One 20×10 storyboard collage
CD Collections (5 images or more)
Select your favorite images for your CD, which includes:
- your high- resolution images on a CD; print however many copies in whatever sizes you want
-black and white conversions of each image
-5×7 proofs of selected images to see how they’ll look in print
- 5 digital images with 5x7s- $200
- 10 digital images with 5x7s- $275
- 15 digital images with 5x7s- $350
*What should my child wear?
It’s best to avoid busy patterns and logos. Other than that, just dress them in an outfit you like. Bright colors are nice too.
*What should I bring with me?
If your child has a particular toy that makes her smile, please bring it along. Toys that make noise are great for smaller children. And a favorite stuffed animal can be a big help for children that are shy and don’t want to take photos alone.
*Do you take color or black and white photos?
Both. I use a digital camera, so all of the photos are originally color, but I’ll add some black and white versions of your photos to your gallery and you’ll have the option to choose black and white for any photo you like when ordering.
